Five infiltrators, three soldiers killed in LoC gunfight
June 28th, 2010 - 11:23 pm ICT by IANSSrinagar, June 28 (IANS) Five infiltrators and three army soldiers have been killed in an ongoing gunfight in Nowgam sector of the Line of Control (LOC) in north Kashmir, an army officer said Monday.
“Five infiltrating terrorists were killed and three jawans of the army martyred when the army foiled an intrusion bid in north Kashmir Nowgam sector of the LOC today,” Srinagar-based 15 Corps spokesman, Lt.Col. J.S. Brar told IANS.
“The operation against the intruders is still on,” he added.
The identity of the slain guerrillas is yet to be established.
