Five civilians injured in Kashmir
August 25th, 2011 - 5:25 pm ICT by IANSSrinagar, Aug 25 (IANS) Five civilians were injured when separatist guerrillas hurled a grenade at a paramilitary bunker in the Jammu and Kashmir summer capital here Thursday, police said.
Separatist guerrillas hurled a grenade at a Central Reserve Police Force bunker in Batmaloo locality here, 1 km away from city centre Lal Chowk, a police officer told IANS.
The area is barely 300 metres away from the state secretariat.
“The grenade exploded on the road injuring five passers-by, all of them civilians,” the officer said.
Earlier in the day, two people were killed in an explosion in Baramullah town.
