New Delhi, Apr 13 (ANI): Showing a matter of concern towards India’s sex ratio, Minister of New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah today said ‘we will all become gays’.

Addressing the India Water Forum here, Abdullah said: “The male sex is growing and women are getting eliminated. The days are not far when there will be no girls to marry and we’ll all become gays.”

“We never told people the truth, sometimes truth is bitter, we may not win elections but time has come when we must tell people, what is right. And the truth is the population is growing at a much faster rate and fortunately male sex is growing faster and women are being eliminated, I don’t know whether the time will come. We will all become gays, that might happen” he added.

According to the provisional results of the Census 2011, the child sex ratio for the age group of 0-6 years has declined, reaching the lowest levels since India’s independence.

In 2001, child sex ratio was recorded as 927 females per 1,000 males born, which has declined to 914 females per 1,000 males.

He also showed a sign of concern towards water, which has been wasted by every home in India.

“One day we shall have pipelines from Helsinki bringing waters to our lands that will happen one day, if we do not mend our ways. We waste water, there is not a home that does not waste water, there is no accountability, they think it is god sent and that use it as much as you like and the way you want to use it,” he said.

He also added that the farming communities in India have still not learnt the use of the water and praised drip irrigation process followed by Israel.

He also said that it is the high time to recognise to take steps, which would help in saving problems related water crises not only in India but also in other nations too for world survival.

He also urged the government of India to must call a meeting of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) on water resources so that we can build consensus within our reach to save the world from such problems. (ANI)
