Jaipur, July 21 (ANI): Farmers in Rajasthan experienced have expressed relief and joy over the arrival of monsoon rains on Tuesday.
Farmers admitted that they had not witnessed such heavy rainfall for nearly a decade.
“It is good for crops and it is good for farmers. It will be nice if there is good harvest this year,” said Om Prakash, a farmer.
Farmers are sowing Kharif crops and said that if rains continue the water table will rise significantly, which would help the subsequent Rabi crop.
“We will start sowing now. Our earlier crop was destroyed, but now, we will sow again and hopefully, we will reap good profit,” opined Bhanwar Lal, another farmer.
The rain also offered relief to the residents of Jaipur. (ANI)
