Explosives seized in Chhattisgarh
November 23rd, 2009 - 1:17 pm ICT by ANIBastar (Chhattisgarh), Nov 23 (ANI): Security forces have seized a large cache of explosives in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a temporary camp in the Bastanar area, and reportedly seized a quintal of explosives, besides other material.
“A team of Jagdalpur and Dantewada districts jointly conducted the operation…the operation was partly successful. Though the rebels managed to flee, we have discovered one quintal of explosives and other material being kept in a temporary camp. we have also arrested 15-16 people on suspicion,” said S.R.P. Kalluri, Deputy Inspector General, Bastar District. (ANI)
