Bangalore, Apr. 11 (ANI): Janatal Dal (Secular) state president H D Kumaraswamy on Monday said corruption in politics is a reality and that he was misquoted on Gandhi.

Kumaraswamy said: “If anybody speaks about non-corrupt system, it will not be truth.”

He said if Gandhians entered politics they might not succeed. Even if Mahatma Gandhi were alive today, he might have either quit politics or accepted corruption. Everybody should accept the reality, he added.

Kumaraswamy expressed unhappiness over the people’s lukewarm response to his fight against Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and several other cabinet ministers who allegedly involved in corruption even when he exposed corruption with proper documents.

“Social activist Anna Hazare has fought against the deep rooted corruption in the society and I will support him wholeheartedly. But, one Hazare is needed to fight against the government sponsored corruption in the state. I am ready to give proper documents about BJP leaders’ corruption to anybody, who can fight against the government without any vested interest,” he said.

“Even senior counsels of the state are not ready to fight against Chief Minister’s misappropriations with proper documents in court. So, I have decided that I will go to the people with facts and figures and I will also support any Gandhian or senior personality in the state who comes forward to lead a movement against the state government’s corruption,” he said.
