EU delegation discusses post-election scenario with Nepal PM

Kathmandu, Apr 14 (ANI): A visiting European Union (EU) delegation discussed the post-election scenario of the country with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today.

Former head of European Parliament Jan Mulder during his meeting with Koirala, congratulated the Nepal Government and the people for the success of the Constituent Assembly election and promised its continued assistance and support to the peace process and development here.

According to Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisor, Aditya Baral, the EU delegation was satisfied that the election was held in a “peaceful and fearless environment”.

Meanwhile, Japan’s Ambassador to Nepal, Tatsuo Mizuno called on Maoist Chairman Prachanda at the latter’s residence in Nayabazaar this morning.

According to Nepal News, details of the discussion were not made public. It was rumoured that their discussions focused on Nepal-Japan relations in the emerging political scenario. (ANI)
