Washington, Nov 12 (ANI): Hollywood star Edward Nortons documentary narrating US President elect Barack Obamas historic run to the White House will be aired early next year.

The Fight Club star has struck a deal with American network HBO to air the documentary in 2009.

Norton started working on the documentary early in 2006 and approached the Obama campaign to chronicle his entrance into the world of politics.

The films directors are Alicia Sams and Amy Rice, who have shot extensive footage of Obama in his role as Illinois senator.

They continued filming Obamas steps as he kicked off his presidential campaign in 2007.
