EC orders re-poll on seven booths in Tamil Nadu, two in Kerala
April 14th, 2011 - 11:29 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Apr 14 (ANI): The Election Commission on Thursday ordered re-poll in seven polling stations in Tamil Nadu and two in Kerala in view of the malfunctioning of EVMs in some places and also minor skirmishes in certain areas.
The re-poll would take place on April 16.
Poll officials in Tamil Nadu said that the polling in the state could be between 75 and 80 per cent.
In Kerala, the repolling would be conducted at booth No.88 (Koothapuzha) in the Chalakudy Assembly constituency and at booth No.118 (Vallapuzha) in the Pattambi constituency.
Kerala has recorded 75.12 per cent voter turn out in the elections. (ANI)
