Earthquake rocks North India
April 4th, 2011 - 6:51 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Apr.4 (ANI): An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale rocked most parts of North India on Monday afternoon. The tremors were felt for approximately three seconds.
According to meteorological department sources, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindukush Mountains. The impact of the tremor was felt in Ghaziabad, NOIDA, the National Capital Region (NCR) and other parts of North India. The tremors were also felt along the India-Nepal border.
Meteorological department sources said the tremor began at aroudn 5.02 p.m. and ended at 5.05 p.m. There were no reports of casualties or damage to property. (ANI)
