Drugs worth million seized in Punjab
July 24th, 2009 - 2:15 pm ICT by ANILudhiana, July 24 (ANI): Punjab police have arrested two smugglers with over four kg drugs worth Rs 250 million from Ludhiana on Thursday.
Rajinder Singh and Balbir Singh were arrested while trying to smuggle a drug called Methamphetamine to Canada.
“Four kilograms and 700 gm of drugs were seized from their cars during the operation. One revolver and eight live cartridges and 100,000 rupees were also recovered from their possession,” said Jaskaran Singh, Assistant Inspector General, Counter Intelligence Cell, Jalandhar.
Police said this stamina enhancing drug is widely used by Kabaddi and other players. (ANI)
