Miranshah, Sept 18 (ANI): Despite the talks between top US military man Admiral Michael Mullen Mullen and his Pakistani counterpart Ashfaq Kayani to resolve the US unilateral strikes issue, spy planes were seen hovering over North Waziristan early morning today.
Drones appeared over Ghulam Khan, Saidgai, Danday Darpakhel, Miranshah, Mir Ali, Razmik, Datakhel and Hanzwani areas of North Waziristan , causing panic and tension among the people, The News reported.
Besides, drones were also seen patrolling over some areas of South Waziristan .
Over the past few weeks, the US has increased strikes, both air and ground, on militant hideouts in tribal areas in Pakistan along the Afghan border. These strikes prompted strong responses from Pakistan Army and the Government as well. Reacting to the strikes, Kayani had said that Pakistan reserved the sovereign right of protecting its territories and added that the US forces should desist from launching strikes on Pakistani soil from across the Afghan border.
After the crisis deepened, following strong statements emerging from Islamabad , US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, Michael Mullen rushed to Pakistan to hold talks with the Pakistan Army officials. (ANI)
