Washington, Nov 22 (ANI): Dr. Pepper Snapple Group is holding on to its promise of giving away free Dr. Pepper soda if rock band Guns N” Roses released its much awaited album Chinese Democracy in 2008.

The band had began recording the album in 1994, and the soft-drink maker had said in March that it would give a free soda to everyone in America if the album came out in 2008.

The album is finally complete and it will go on sale on November 23, the same day that coupons for a free soda will be issued.

We never thought this day would come, CBS News quoted Tony Jacobs, Dr Pepper’’s vice president of marketing, as saying in a statement.

But now that it’’s here, all we can say is: The Dr Pepper’’s on us, he added.
Beginning November 23 at 12:01 a.m., coupons for a free 20-ounce soda will be available for 24 hours on Dr Pepper’’s Web site, and they will be honoured until February 28. (ANI)
