Derailment of freight train disrupts rail traffic in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, Dec.8 (ANI): A freight train derailed causing hours of disruption for rail traffic here on Wednesday morning.
The accident took place near Ludhiana station, leaving many passengers stranded.
The railway officials struggled to clear the tracks.
Trains were halted due to the incident, leaving passengers stuck for over three to four hours.
“They have just told us that a few kilometers ahead a goods train has derailed off the tracks. And that is why we are stuck here,” said Savita Khanna, a passenger.
The police are investigating the cause of the derailment. (ANI)
