- New Delhi, Nov. 3 (ANI): The Delhi High Court on Tuesday dismissed a paternity suit against N D Tiwari, in which a youth had alleged that the Andhra Pradesh Governor is his biological father.
Justice S N Dhingra concluded that the suit filed by Rohit Shekhar is not maintainable allowed the plea of 84-year-old Tiwari who had sought dismissal of the petition.
In his petition, Shekhar had said that he was born out of an intimate relationship between his mother Ujjwala Sharma and Tiwari. N. D. Tiwari had denied the claim.
In November, the court had directed Tiwari to file his reply.
During the proceedings, Tiwari’s advocate Rajiv Nayyar had contended that Rohit’s plea was barred under the time limitation and hence it was not maintainable. (ANI)
