Delhi blast: No breakthrough

Srinagar/Jammu, Sep 9 (IANS) Although questioning of people arrested in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the Delhi High Court blast continued Friday, the investigations so far have not led to a breakthrough, police said.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police had Thursday raided the Global Internet Cafe at Malik Market in Kishtwar town. An email was reportedly sent from the cafe by terrorist outfit Harkat-ul-Jehadi-Islami (HuJI), claiming responsibility for the explosion Wednesday that has taken 13 lives.

“Questioning of people…continued today, but there has actually been no breakthrough so far,” a senior police officer told IANS here.

Always looking for a Kashmir angle to every terror attack in the country could be misleading, the officer said.

“The fact is that an email had been sent and that set the investigation ball rolling, but we are still far from reaching any definite conclusion.

“Kindly let not the media try and guide this sensitive investigation,” the officer said without agreeing to be named.

Meanwhile, a special team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Friday arrived in Kishtwar to question the five suspects, police said.
