London, Nov 7 (ANI): The stars, who appeared in the hit TV series of the 80s, Dallas, are now planning for a reunion to commemorate the shows 30th anniversary.

Among those who are expected at the event at the Ewing’’s ranch Southfork, include Larry Hagman, who played bad boy JR Ewing, his alcoholic on-screen wife Linda Gray (Sue Ellen), and younger brother Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing).

The show, which involved sex, intrigue and power struggle, is best remembered for who shot the lead character, big hair and Sue Ellen’’s big shoulder pads.

And the hoopla around the reunion is so much so, that many fans across the world have paid hundreds of pounds each to attend the celebration and barbecue alongside the stars in Parker, just outside Dallas.

And the more they pay, the greater access they get to the actors in the party.

Hagman, 77, was reportedly paid around 50,000 pounds for every episode.

“People are crazy. I guess it’’s a TV show people identify with. This thing is going to be a lot of fun. It’’s the first one we”ve ever done with fans. They”re coming from everywhere, Sky News quoted Hagman as saying.

He added: “It was the little things that made it. No-ones hair ever moved even if there was a gale blowing. They also only had one phone in the whole of Southfork. The love of money just became a national sport. Dallas was really ahead of the curve.

“It was brilliantly cast. The show wasn”t pretentious. In comparison, EastEnders took itself so seriously. There’’s a lot more affection for Dallas. JR Ewing and Sue Ellen were the Dallas equivalent of EastEnders” Den and Angie Watts.” (ANI)
