Dalai Lama wants China to learn religious harmony from India

Amritsar, Aug. 12 (ANI): Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama said her today that China should learn religious harmony and non-violence from India.Describing himself “as the Son of India,” Dalai Lama, who was in Amritsar for a night halt on his way to Dharmshala, said that India was known all over the world for religious harmony . Speaking of Sikhism, Dalai Lama said that it was essentially a non-sectarian religion, as Guru Nanak Dev had gone on pilgrimage to Mecca. “When I see conflicts in various parts of world I try to tell them that people belonging to different races and following different religion can live in harmony.”The Dalai Lama said that the message of India was Ahimsa (non-violence) and religious harmony. “People in China very much need to know this,” he added.
He said that looked forwarded to an opportunity to serve them also.He said the Tibetan spirit is very strong and no external force could eliminate it as has been demonstrated in the last 60 years. The Dalai Lama said that the entire six million Tibetan people lived in his heart and even the Chinese Buddhist living in different parts of the world also had a place in his heart. (ANI)
