Dalai Lama to visit Jammu
November 8th, 2011 - 11:05 pm ICT by IANSJammu, Nov 8 (IANS) Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama will visit Jammu Nov 16 and address a gathering at a Buddhist heritage site near here, a minister said Tuesday.
“We expect him to address an expected gathering of 50,000 people at Ambran,” Health Minister Sham Lal told reporters here.
Ambran is a ancient Buddhist site along the banks of river Chenab in Akhnoor area, some 30 km from Jammu.
The Dalai Lama will also inaugurate an exhibition of Buddhist art here.
