Cricket fans upbeat with India’’s performance

Mumbai, Nov 7 (ANI): Ahead of the seven-match one-day series against England, fans are confident that India would beat the visitors.

England cricket team arrived in Mumbai on Thursday and attended their first practice session in Brabourne stadium in Mumbai.

England will be playing their first one-day match in Rajkot on November 14 and is also scheduled to play two tests in Ahmedabad and Mumbai in December.

Indian fans were all excited about the upcoming series and were confident about India’’s win against England.

I think India will win because with the present series going on against Australia they have been performing superbly and this shows they can beat England too, said Nagesh, a cricket enthusiast.

Indian team that is presently playing its fourth and final test against Australia has performed remarkably well and is up 1-0 in the series.

Fans feel that the fact that the Indian team has young players is an asset.

In my opinion India will win because we have very good set of players this time all youngsters and they are doing very well, said Chandrajeet Rao.

Earlier in the day, England cricket captain Kevin Pietersen while addressing a news conference had appreciated India’’s current form and said that though playing against India would be tough but the English side was learning how to win and he was confident of his side.

Pietersen, 28, was appointed captain in August this year, after Michael Vaughan’’s resignation. (ANI)
