Contemporary poets, storywriters to exhibit their oratory skills at Sahitya Akademi
May 2nd, 2011 - 12:45 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, May 2 (ANI): Contemporary Indian poets and short story writers are coming together on May 3 to exhibit their literary and oratory skills at the Sahitya Akademi here.
Contemporary Indian poets like foreign diplomat Abhay K, Brijesh Ambar, Alka Tyagi and short story writers Kusum Ansal and Subhakanta Behera will be at the literary event to present their new and emerging voices in Indian literary scene.
Kumar, who writes with pen name Abhay K, is an author, poet, artist and diplomat. He is a rare creative artist with a unique vision and voice and has also authored six books.
Kumar’s poetry is remarkable for its humanistic outlook and supranational character, also visible in his art works.
Brijesh Ambar is an Urdu poet from Jodhpur and Professor Alka Tyagi is a poet and translator.
Prominent Indian writer like Ansal Kusum will also be part of the event. She is known for he book “Beyond Silence”, which is based on her experience of an Indian community in Durban.
Another prominent participant Subhakanta Behera is an author-diplomat with a number of publications in Oriya literature. (ANI)
