London, Oct.11 (ANI): England all-rounder Paul Collingwood is not into a flashy lifestyle, and prefers to keep his earnings from the game under his bed.
Colly, 32, insisted: Im not going to buy Ferraris and that sort of thing. Ill probably just take as much as possible off my mortgage or maybe put it under the bed thats where money is safest at the moment!
The Stanford Twenty20 for 20 million dollars will definitely take place in Antigua on November 1 after the Texan billionaire and mobile phone giants Digicel settled their differences over sponsorship.
Each player on the winning team will receive 575,000 pounds.
The four non-playing members of the squad will share a million dollars as will the management and back-up staff. The losers go home with nothing.
Skipper Kevin Pietersen says England might counter claims that the occasion is vulgar and offensive in the current credit squeeze by giving some of the winnings to charity although no details have been discussed.
Its a situation weve never been in before. Were not playing for The Ashes or the World Cup, its purely for money. We dont know how we will react until the day but Im sure there will be a few nerves around, The Sun quoted Collingwood, as saying.
