Mumbai, Jan 28 (ANI): At least three schoolchildren were killed and five other were severely injured on Monday when a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) cylinder of a van in which schoolchildren were travelling exploded in Jogeshwari area of Mumbai.
According to police, the explosion that took place in Millat Nagar area of suburban Oshiwara killed three girl student on the spot.
“The children are from the Millat High School and had boarded the Omni van to go home. As the driver started the van, the CNG kit exploded killing the three girls instantly,” police said.
Police official added that the injured school children were taken to a nearby hospital. (ANI)
