Washington, September 25 (ANI): Christian Bales American Psycho, a film adaptation of the controversial novel, will now be adapted for the Broadway stage.
The Batman starring English actor got his major break by playing the serial killer Patrick Bateman in the 2000 adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis” novel, reports Contactmusic.
Initially scorned for its extreme violence and sexual content, the movie has caught the eye of theatre bosses who now hope to recreate its applause by adapting it for the New York stage.
Associated with the project will be films producers Ellis and Edward R. Pressman who shall be consulted for its 2010 opening.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the project has already proceeded to its developmental stages and its right purchased though its director and songwriters are yet to be finalised. (ANI)
