Chinese director Hu Mei to make Confucius biopic

New Delhi, Aug 5 (ANI): Chinese thinker and social philosopher Confucius will have his life dissected by Chinese director Hu Mei in an upcoming biopic.

Mei will be directing the film “Confucius”, which is based on the ancient legend, and its shooting will begin in September, as revealed in a press conference held on August 4.

The script for the movie will be written by Khan Chan, who was one of the screenwriters for John Woo’’s “Red Cliff”, China Daily reported.

Mei further stated that a leading actor will be playing the role of Confucius, however she did not reveal his name.

The film is estimated to have a budget of 150 million yuan. (ANI)
