Yekatarinburg (Russia), May 15 (ANI): Reaffirming India’s support to the Beijing Olympics, Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said that China will conduct the games in a successful manner and maintain high standards of Olympics.
He said that Olympics are going to take place in Beijing, which is a world heritage city.
This statement will help in strengthening of relations between the two countries after China had expressed its annoyance by summoning Indian Ambassador Nirupama Rao in the wake of Tibetan protesters entering the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi.
Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi thanked India for offering assistance in the earthquake relief and also supporting the Beijing Olympics. (ANI)
