Patna, Jan 31 (ANI): Children held a peace march in Patna to protest against the spurt of terror activities in the country. Holding placards, they took to streets on the occasion of ”Martyr’’s Day”, which commemorates Mahatma Gandhi’’s death anniversary.
“We have staged this peace march as a mark of public grievances against terrorism and to give a message to militants that we will not fear by their act of terror. We consider ourselves strong enough to fight against them,” said Deepti Khanna, a child volunteer.
In the past few years, India has been a target of many terror groups and the most unprecedented and recent has been the attack on Mumbai on November 26, 2008.
Before the Mumbai attacks, cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Bangalore also experienced a series of blasts killing hundreds of innocent people. (ANI)
