Srinagar, Oct 14 (ANI): Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram will address the All India Editors Conference on Social and Infrastructure here today.
The conference was inaugurated by State Chief Minister Umar Abdullah on Tuesday. He stressed the need for broad based dialogue process to address political and security related issues.
Union Minister for Minority Affairs and Corporate Affairs Salman Khurshid also addressed the Conference.
Khurshid has said that the proposed Equal Opportunity Commission will change the political language of the country from zero sum game of majority minority to equal opportunity for all.
“Equal Opportunity Commission as suggested by Sachar Committee will use a system of incentive / disincentives for improving the diversity profile in both government and non-government sectors. It is a long drawn process but the thinking behind Equal Opportunity Commission is a significant step in the right direction,” the Minister added. (ANI)
