Chhattisgarh Police arrest two women Maoists
February 13th, 2011 - 11:53 am ICT by ANIKanker (Chhattisgarh), Feb 13 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Police have taken into custody two women Maoists during a search operation in Kanker district.
The security personnel nabbed the ultras near a forest area on Saturday evening.
“During the search, near a forest a group of people was spotted. One of them, who acted as guard, began shouting after seeing the security personnel. After that everybody began running. The security personnel cordoned off the area and arrested them,” said Sub-Divisional Officer Anil Soni.
“We have recovered one loaded gun and some explosives. Legal action is being taken,” he added.
The police are trying to establish the identities of the arrested women. (ANI)
