Chevrolet launches much-awaited car “Beat”
January 4th, 2010 - 8:57 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Jan 4(ANI): General Motors India launched the much-awaited Chevrolet “Beat” car on Monday.
The car will also be introduced in 150 countries around the world including those in Europe, other parts of Asia and North America in the coming days.
Introducing the car, Karl Slym, President and Managing Director of the company, said that to be successful in India it is very important to be a player in the small car segment.
“If you want to be a global, high volume player then you got to be in the mini segment so we already have two cars, Spark and Yuva, this would be our third here in India,” Slym said.
The company took 27 months to develop the car in three models. (ANI)
