Melbourne, Sept 24 (ANI): Charlize Theron has become the latest celebrity to support U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
The South African-born Oscar winner, who became an American citizen last year, pointed out that her timing to get the countrys citizenship couldn”t have been better.
“Its a great year to become an American citizen. I think everybody knows I”m backing Barack Obama, the Daily Telegraph quoted her, as telling Sunday Express.
“There’’s certain things about him that I find truly inspiring. After his speech on race, I emailed a few people I knew who are probably going to vote Republican and suggested that they really listen to that speech,” she added.
Last November, the actress expressed her contempt for current commander-in-chief George Bush.
She called him irresponsible and taking exception with politicians in their very expensive suits and air-conditioned buildings, telling us how our soldiers are doing in Iraq. (ANI)
