Chargesheet filed against Shiney Ahuja

Mumbai, Aug 13(ANI): Mumbai police on Thursday filed a 109-page chargesheet against Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja accusing him of rape, wrongful confinement and threatening his domestic servant.
The chargesheet contained medical and forensic reports of Ahuja and the domestic servant, along with statements of the witnesses, including the neighbours and those who helped the victim lodge a complaint.
In order to strengthen the case, the domestic servant’s statement has also been recorded before a magistrate under the provisions of section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
Earlier, on July 30, the judicial custody of Ahuja had been extended which ended today.
The DNA test report of Ahuja had confirmed that he sexually assaulted the victim.
He was arrested on June 15 after preliminary medical tests on the girl confirmed sexual assault.
Mumbai police had said the actor had admitted to making a mistake by having consensual sex with the maid who has levelled allegations of rape against him. (ANI)
