Telangana Hyderabad, Mar 4 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today said the Centre would take a decision on the Telangana statehood issue only after the all parties give their points of view on it.

” The Centre will take a decision after the political parties expressed their views after studying the recommendations of the Justice Srikrishna Committee,” Reddy said in the state Assembly, minutes before the proceedings were adjourned for half-an-hour following slogan shouting by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) members.

He further criticised the TDP for not even attending the all-party meeting convened by the Centre to handover the five-member Committee report.

TDP MLAs from Andhra-Rayalaseema regions then rushed into the Well of the House holding placards and raising slogans in support of a unified state, resulting in two adjournments for 30 minutes each.

Several Telangana-related protests and shutdowns have brought Andhra Pradesh to a standstill.

The Central Government has appointed a judicial commission headed by former Supreme Court Justice Srikrishna to look into issue.

The report, submitted to Chidambaram in December last year, has suggested at least six options, including maintaining the status quo in the state or bifurcating the state. (ANI)
