Centre to establish trauma centres along golden quadrilateral
December 13th, 2007 - 6:14 pm ICT by adminNew Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today gave its approval for establishment of an integrated network of trauma centres along the Golden Quadrilateral, North-South and East-West Corridors of the National Highways.
It has been proposed top upgrade the trauma care facilities in the 140 identified State Government hospitals at a total cost of Rs.732.75 crore during the Eleventh Five Year Plan period.
Setting up of the integrated network of trauma centres along the Golden Quadrilateral, North-South and East West Corridors will ensure that each accident victim on these corridors is able to get competent medical assistance within the shortest possible time thereby saving precious lives, said a government release.
