New Delhi, Dec 27 (ANI): The Centre today asked all the states to maintain a vigil in the wake of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhuttos assassination.
Border Security Forces have been asked to remain vigilant, a Home Ministry spokesperson said.
All states have also been advised to maintain a vigil, the spokesperson added.
The advisory has been termed as a precautionary measure to prevent any untoward incident.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bhutto, 54, was assassinated on Thursday during a party rally in Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh area. She was shot at point blank range by two attackers in the head and the neck. The attack was immediately followed by a suicide bomb attack that claimed the lives of 20 other people. (ANI)
