CBSE asked to give names of students for Indo-Japanese Exchange Programme
February 23rd, 2011 - 9:23 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Feb 23 (ANI): The Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry has asked the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to suggest names of students of classes IX to XII from CBSE affiliated schools to attend a short term invitation programme in Japan.
The programme, which is expected to be held during May-June, 2011 will be arranged by Japan International Cooperation Centre (JICE) under the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth programme (JENESYS).
Minister of State for Human Resource Development D. Purandeswari in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today said: ” The schools affiliated to States School Boards are also covered under the programme. All the State Governments and UT Administrations have been requested by HRD Ministry to send names of students for consideration under the programme.” (ANI)
