CBI holds discussion with Ruchika’s father
January 15th, 2010 - 5:55 pm ICT by ANIChandigarh: A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) which has been given the responsibility to investigate into the Ruchika Girhotra molestation case on Friday held a formal interaction with Ruchika’s father Subhash Girhotra.
Ruchika, was allegedly molested by former Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) S P S Rathore in 1990.
The CBI team of the Special Crime Branch (SCB), also interacted with Anand Parkash, father of Aradhana, the sole eye witness to the molestation incident.
CBI, however, did not call Aradhana for interaction on Friday.
The CBI is conducting this exercise as an attempt to acquaint with the case.
Earlier, in December, a CBI court in Chandigarh sentenced Rathore for six months imprisonment and Rs.1,000 fine for molesting Ruchika.
The CBI had on January 12 taken over the three fresh FIRs against disgraced former DGP of Haryana lodged by Girhotra and his son Ashu, levelling various allegations, including attempt to murder, abetment to suicide and doctoring the post mortem report and other documents. (ANI)
