- New York, October 20 (ANI): Carrie Fisher has mocked the idea in her memoir Wishful Drinking that she was responsible for changing her ex-hubby Bryan Lourds sexual preferences.
In her side-splitting journal, the actress, who was deserted by Lourd for a man, joked that she did not realise that taking codeine would turn her former husband into a gay.
“He told me later that I had turned him gay . . . by taking codeine again, the New York Post quoted her as saying.
And I said, ”You know, I never read that warning on the label.”
I thought it said ”heavy machinery,” not homosexuality - turns out I could have been driving those tractors all along! she added.
In addition to her humorous take on her failed marriage with Lourd, the Fisher also talks of her other challenging experiences including her drug-abuse and manic depression while avoiding self-pity since it is her riotous pen that dominates everything else, reports the Post’’s Kyle Smith. (ANI)
