Canadian Minister of International Trade to visit IndiaJanuary 16th, 2009 - 5:37 pm ICT by ANI
New Delhi, Jan.16 (ANI): Canada’’s Minister of International Trade, Stockwell Day, will visit New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai, January 18-22. His visit to India aims to enhance Canada-India commercial relations, a Canadian High Commission press release said.
In Delhi, Day will participate in the Confederation of Indian Industrys Partnership Summit on January 19th and 20th. He will also meet with his counterpart Minister of Commerce and Industry Kamal Nath to discuss ways to enhance further bilateral trade and investment.
While in Hyderabad, Minister Day will officially open the Canadian Trade Office with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
In Mumbai, Minister Day will speak to business leaders about the importance of Canada-India economic cooperation.
Canada’’s presence in India is among its largest overseas, with representative offices located in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad. (ANI)
