New Delhi, Jan 13 (ANI): Jason Kenney, Canadian Minister for Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism met External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee here today.
Kenney arrived in India on the last leg of his 12-day long tour to Asia after concluding his two-day tour of Pakistan.
Kenny is expected to visit Amritsar, Chandigarh and Mumbai where he is scheduled to meet business and education leaders to communicate Canada’’s immigration policy innovations to strengthen people-to-people ties between the two countries.
Thousands of Indians migrate to countries abroad, mainly to Canada and Australia. Highly skilled workers and professionals including engineers, accountants and health professionals from India are in high demand in these countries.
Canada scouted for Indian farmers and entrepreneurs to meet a huge dearth of horticultural, agricultural farmers in that country. (ANI)
