Cabinet approves renaming of Rajasansi International Airport at Amritsar
November 4th, 2010 - 4:43 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, Nov.4 (ANI): The Union Cabinet on Thursday approved the renaming of the Rajasansi International Airport in Amritsar as the “Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport, Amritsar”.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) operates and manages the existing Rajasansi International Airport at Amritsar, which is suitable for operations of “E” Category aircrafts (such as B767, B747 etc.) in all weather conditions.
Guru Ram Dass Jee was the fourth of the Ten Gurus of Sikhs and was the founder of the city of Amritsar. His whole life was an embodiment of love, devotion, dedication and service. (ANI)
