Washington, Sept 27 (ANI): In a public display of his gratitude, rapper Busta Rhymes thanked his lawyers and immigration officials for helping him gain access into Britain following his airport detention.
The Touch It hitmaker thanked the officials and his lawyers just after he closed his set at the charity gig, for which he was finally granted the permission to perform.
“I almost didn”t make this show here today. But, at the end of the day, we need to acknowledge my lawyers… all the people who went through hell to make sure I got in the country yesterday, Contactmusic quoted him, as telling the audience.
He added: “Every individual who fought in the immigration (authorities) to make sure I came through. It was not only people who work in immigration who got me through, but we had people in the counter terrorist organisation involved to ensure this show went ahead,
The 36-year-old singers was detained overnight on Sept 24 by British border authorities over his past criminal convictions in the U.S.
And the situation got so bad, that there was a possibility of even cancelling the London gig, for which the Rhymes flew down to the country.
However, he was released and allowed to perform at the Orange RockCorps concert at the capital’’s Royal Albert Hall, after a High Court judge granted him a last minute reprieve earlier in the day. (ANI)
