BSF seizes heroin worth 200 million dollars in Ferozepur
January 29th, 2011 - 2:26 pm ICT by ANIFerozepur (Punjab), Jan 29 (ANI): Paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have confirmed seizing four kilograms of heroin worth 200 million dollars in the international market.
Rajesh Gupta, Deputy Inspector General of (DIG) of the Border Security Force in Ferozepur, said his team noticed some movement with the help of night vision devices, and launched a search operation, during which they unearthed heroin buried in the sand near the India-Pakistan border.
Gupta said four packets of heroin was seized from the pillar number 193/7, and added that patrolling along the border has been increased since the seizure. (ANI)
