BSF seizes drug worth Rs 155 crore in Amritsar
July 4th, 2010 - 12:30 pm ICT by ANIAmritsar, July 4 (ANI): The Border Security Force (BSF) has seized 31 kilograms of heroin worth Rs 155 crore in the international market from a village in Amritsar.
BSF DIG Mohhammad Aquil said that that the consignment of the contraband, concealed in two pieces of cloth, was found at village Channa in Ajnala sector.
“These are approximately one kilogram packets each. It came out to be heroin after tests were conducted and every packet has different marks. Some are of 555 mark, some are of 88 mark, one has a mark of Mohamand Agency as well,” said Mohammad Aquil, Deputy Inspector General, BSF. (ANI)
