Boys will be boys, girls will be girls: says Judge in underage sex caseNovember 7th, 2008 - 6:44 pm ICT by ANI
London, Nov 7 (ANI): A teenage boy who pleaded guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old has been spared from going to jail by a judge who said, Boys will be boys, girls will be girls.
The story unveiled in Chelmsford Crown Court was that the girl had consented to unprotected sex five times to keep their relationship going.
But when the 17-year-old boy told her that he did not feel right having sex with a 13-year-old, the girl reported him and he was arrested.
Judge Christopher Ball QC instead imposed a 12- month supervision order on the boy, and told him that it was a lesson he had to learn.
We must not get it out of proportion. As you grow up you learn lessons and an important lesson is, Dont have sex with girls much younger than you, the Sun quoted him as saying.
Be careful who you have sex with women change their minds, he added.
Judge Ball, who has previously let off two different child-sex offenders after blaming the girls for inviting the attacks, also put the boy, of Westcliff, Essex, on the sex offenders list for 21/2 years. (ANI)
