Guwahati (Assam), Apr 10 (ANI): Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor here on Saturday termed the area along the China border as a ‘quiet and a tranquil frontier’, asserting that he is not aware of any particular tension in that area.
Tharoor said India’s relationship with China is an important one.
“I am not aware of any particular tension, we have a quiet and tranquil border. As far as I am concerned, you all should understand that our relationship with China is an important relationship and we are not at all speaking in terms of border tensions,” said Tharoor.
“There is an unresolved border, which is being discussed. We have had thirteen rounds of talks with China, Talks will continue and we will find a solution in due course of time,” he added.
Earlier, Tharoor released a book named ‘Naturenomics’, compiled by well-known GMS expert Ranjit Barthakur on linking ecology with development matters.
Assam chief Minister Tarun Gogoi also attended the book releasing function along with Tharoor. (ANI)
