BJP protests against killing of Hindu Tamils in Sri Lanka

Coimbatore, Jan 30, (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday staged a protest over the killings of Tamil Hindus in Sri Lanka and urged the Centre to take into consideration the deaths of Hindus along with the Tamils in that country.
According to S.R. Sekhar, a senior BJP leader, the killing of Tamils is not just limited to Tamils but also includes Hindus. He urged the Central Government to intervene and take action to prevent the killing of innocent Hindus.
“The BJP is taking up the problem as a Hindu problem, where the whole nation will be responding. The Central Government is not responding because they are thinking it’’s a Tamil problem alone, S.R. Sekhar added.
The BJP is the only party, which is viewing it as a Hindu problem. For this purpose BJP is fasting in Coimbatore to condemn the genocide against Tamils by the Sinhalese Government, Sekhar claimed.
In another development, hundreds of students took out a protest demonstration against the inhuman attacks on Tamils in Sri Lanka and criticised the Congress-led UPA government for doing precious little in this regard.
“Today, to condemn the genocides taking place against Tamil people in Sri Lanka, we the students from all colleges have staged this protest. If the genocide doesn”t stop there, we will intensify our struggle,” said Professor Sushila, one of the protestors.
Aid agencies say about 2,50,000 civilians are caught between the foes and at serious risk. (ANI)

I am all for “Political Solutions” with terrorists: In India and in Sri Lanka. That is why I VEHEMENTLY criticize the Indian security forces attack on the MUMBAI TERRORISTS. These are FREEDOM FIGHTERS with legitimate grievances…aren’t they? The Indian Govt should have NEGOTIATED a PEACEFUL AGREEMENT with them…isn’t that so? Hey, if they were demanding an INDEPENDENT JAMMU & KASHMIR…GIVE IT TO THEM, after all every community, no matter how small, has the right of SELF-DETERMINATION…don’t they? By confronting the Mumbai terrorists, INDIA’s security forces PROVOKED THEM and DELIBERATELY INFLICTED civilian casualties. What, the terrorists gunned down innocent people? Well, we have to break SOME EGGS in an independence struggle, DON’T WE? BOYS, will be BOYS. Forgive them, don’t be harsh. Now, about the civilian casualties caused by the SECURITY forces…Quite REPREHENSIBLE, Don’t you think?

Ah, yes! The axe murderers of the LTTE are now preaching non-violence and democracy. When blasting over 100,000 people to bits, hacking entire villages of people to death, and killing all dissenters among their own people, failed to win a racist mono-ethnic aparthied Eelam state, we now have the same people preaching the virtues of democracy to us. Democracy there was, before all this violence was unleashed upon the people of Sri Lanka, and to democracy we will return the entire island of Sri Lanka, when this war is won in its entirety. One country, one people, one set of rights and responsibilities. No Eelams. Patriotic Indians watchout…these same arguments will be offered by these same separatists to destroy your own country from within!
