BJP presents plea on Amarnath land to Gujarat governor

Gandhinagar, Aug 13 (IANS) A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Gujarat Wednesday submitted a memorandum to Governor Nawal Kishore Sharma, seeking return of the land earlier allotted to the Amarnath shrine board in Jammu and Kashmir. The memorandum submitted by Gujarat BJP president Purushottam Rupala and others said that the forest land should be immediately returned to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB). It urged the governor to convey sentiments of people to the central government, party spokesperson I.K. Jadeja said here.
