Patna, June 12 (ANI): The two-day meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) national executive committee will begin here today.
Besides party president Nitin Gadkari, senior leaders including Lal Krishna Advani, Narenrdra Modi, Arun Jaitley, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and Murli Manohar Joshi are expected to participate in the meeting
Political strategy for the coming state assembly elections in Bihar and the current political situation in Jharkhand would prominently figure in the meeting.
The growing threat posed by Maoists, the poor performance of the United Progressive Alliance government, and plans to expose the ’step-motherly treatment’ to non-Congress-ruled states would also be discussed.
It is the first meeting of the new executive committee formed by Gadkari. The committee has 352 members including 18 from Bihar. (ANI)
