New Delhi, Mar. 20 (ANI): Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated the festival of colours - Holi - on Saturday with people of different religions using flowers and herbal colours.
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj, placed emphasis on the need for one and all to use natural or herbal colours during the festival.
“At present, there is a huge amount of water shortage in the country. Thousands of litres of water get wasted playing Holi. It is not appropriate. This is the reason we are encouraging the use of herbal colours. The artificial colours often include material that is harmful for the skin. Play Holi with flowers,” said Swaraj. (ANI)
